Eclectic Dreams infectious energy have earned them a reputation as one of the South Easts premier Live 80s Tribute Acts, delighting audiences of all ages at Weddings, Functions, Private Parties, Pub Gigs, Social Events and Music Festivals alike.
Whether you’re a die-hard fan of the 80s or simply love great music and a good time, our tribute to the 80s promises to be an unforgettable journey through the greatest decade in music history.
Hopefully, you've guessed by now that we are all about the 80s. Our Set List is extensive and we have carefully chosen the greatest hits of the decade to make sure everyone can join in by either singing along or strutting their stuff on the dance floor. As much as we inividually love to create our own music, Eclectic Dreams is covers only band. We perform everything from the One Hit Wonders through to the unforgetable Rock Anthems of the decade.
Every performance is different, so our set times are based entirely around your event, this is all discussed in detail before we confirm the booking. However... as a guide, pub gigs are normally 2 x 45/50 min sets, parties can be anything from 2 x 1 hour sets up to 4 x 45 min sets. Festivals are dictated by the organisers and we are always happy to fit around the promoter's programme. Your event is unique to you and our performance will always be based around what works best for you and your guests.
The initial stage is to complete the "Booking Form" on our website. By giving us as much information as possible, we can reply with a quote for your event. If you wish to proceed, we will contact you regarding any specific requirements and work with you to plan our part of the event/party.
We quote for every individual party or event based on a number of factors. These include travel times, set-up/break-down times, performance duration, equipment and number of musicians etc. Please complete the "Booking/Enquiry Form" and we will provide you with an estimate that's unique to your party.
We are all based in Sussex, we generally perform across Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire and London, although we have been known to go further afield. Travel costs and travel time will always be factored in to our estimates.
We provide everything bar the power. We have a full lighting truss equiped with the latest programmable LED spotlights, bar lights, washes and disco lights, we come with our own professional QSC PA system (subs and heads) and the latest Behringer Wing Q mixing desk. All our musical equipment, lighting equipment and audio equipment is PAT tested and certified.
Absolutely, if the venue has it's own system they would prefer to use, we will work with a sound engineer to create the best solution.
There is 7 of us, plus a sound engineer on the occasions we need them. The band consists of 2 lead vocalist (Bex and Kate) a keyboard player (Jason) 3 guitarists (Jack, Rob & Jacob) and a drummer (Lee). Depending on the booking and space available, the band has a number of configurations in which we can perform.
We work from a structured set list depending on the event and the performance time, however, we are always happy to learn or play any special song requests. Just let us know at the time of the booking and we will make sure it's added.
Prior to the event, we will send you an email outlining any special requirements, if you would like us to play interval music through the PA before the performance or whilst we have a break, you can add any list of songs you want (it doesn't even have to be 80s). We don't offer a specific DJ service for our events.
We take performing seriously and understand that there is always a risk of something out of the ordinary happening. We have Public Liability Insurance to the value of £5 million and Public Indemnity to the value of £1 million. You can view our current insurance certificate here .
To confirm your booking we require a 50% deposit, this is non-refundable in the event that the booking gets cancelled by you. If for any reason, the band has to pull out of the event, then the deposit (in full) will be returned to you. As yet, we have never had to cancel a gig; however, if it is completely unavoidable, we will do our utmost to offer the services of a replacement band.
Please confirm acceptance of our quote by email, we will send you our bank details to make an initial deposit (50%). Once this is received, the booking will be confirmed.
Great News! We love to support local venues that want to put on Live music for their customers. We actively try to play at least 1 local event every month, so if you think your customers are in the mood for an evening of 80s belters, then get in touch.
We have a fixed fee of £350 for Pubs and £450 for Social Clubs, which consists of a 2 x 50 min set and whatever configuration of the band we think will work best according to space (and volume). Use our Booking/Enquiry Form to discuss dates.
This really depends on the type of event and what service you have opted for. We generally set up within 2.5 hours of the performance start time. However, if you have booked us for a Wedding, then the last thing you want is a bunch of musicians clattering around during your dinner, so in some cases, we will set up the night before or prioir to you arriving at the venue.
We are happy to supply promotional material / artwork and actively advertise public gigs through our Social Media channels.
We love to dress up, although we try not to go too over the top. Think more Spandau Ballet / Madonna and less 80s hair metal. We do, however, encourage you to make the most of the event, so why not theme your entire evening around "Back to the 80s".
Absolutley, there is nothing better than performing on warm summers evening, although, we are less keen to brace the elements in the middle of December. Due to the magnitude of equipment we bring, we will need power and plenty of it, an unplugged 80s gig just doesnt have the same feel.
It really depends on when you start planning your party, 6 months in advance is a great option and gives us plenty of time to discuss all the details with you. If you're a pub looking for a last minute band for a Saturday night, then feel free to get in touch, you never know, we may have a weekend off. The later you leave it, the less chance you have of the date being available. Strike whilst the iron is hot!
